Ok, I know, we've more than proved our point with the Northern Exposure bent. But all of us on the PVP, RRB (Re-run Review Board) stayed up WAY too late last night watching the entire first season, pausing it on each frame where we spotted the Buffalo Plaid. WE WERE UP ALL NIGHT, due to the frequency of sightings. So many, that we ran clear out of popcorn. (Thanks to some shrewd distribution on the part of the PVP, EMC (Emergency Rations Canteen) who coughed up a few bags of rice cakes left over from our Cagney and Lacey Marathon last month, we were not without snacks.) Long story short, there were far too many images to post, so we voted and this was pretty much the unanimous favorite. Naturally, we all have a crush on Ed, and the binoculars are somehow fitting in our line of work..... This is the opening scene of Episode Two, Season One.
Movie Night at PVP Headquarters! This week we rented the first season of Northern Exposure, not even thinking about the possibility of a plaid sighting. To our surprise, in the very first episode, We counted SIX garments in buffalo plaid! (SEVEN if you count the pay phone guy with suspenders twice, who showed up in a later scene wearing the same shirt.) The images above were taken of the screen by our in-house, state-of-the-art pre-programmed robotic personality: the PVP-TV2C (Television-to-Capture). Incredible! Cicely, Alaska circa 1990.
Due to the devastating illness which has swept over all of us here at PVP headquarters, we were not able to make a capture today.
